Last summer when I met Sam Calagione at Firefly. They set up a huge beer tent for the festival and I kept asking everyday when he would make a visit, and one day I finally ran into him. We talked about beer and music and he genuinely seemed interested during our conversation. Super cool dude, glad to have made his acquaintance.

Mine's "SUE" I just wouldn't want to piss it off! Well, back when it was roaming around Montana and / or S.Dakota 66 million years ago.

Actually-- I just thought it looked good as an Avatar.

    Where's my beer.....

Just before walking my daughter down the ale, I mean aisle. Summit ales awaiting at the reception.

My Great grandfather came up with the Rhinelander Shorty beer back in the day, although he never got the credit as he was just an employee at the brewery. And I love history.

The Shorty did make a comeback a few years ago and it tasted terrible.

It's all about the exciting Florida beer culture that is growing daily. When I joined BA back in 2006, the state of Florida was seriously lacking. Now we have some awesome world class breweries that are brewing some amazing beers!

Grew up in farmland but some friends and I lamented that we wanted to be pirates anyway. We concluded we'd have to be grain pirates, riding about on pirate combines harvesting other farmers' crops.
I've used the avatar elsewhere for a while since then, but the barley aspect makes it even better here.

Well, I love beer, and I love typography, and I had this big bottle cap collection. It all adds up.

As for the name "vurt," it's the title of a weird and terrific novel by Jeff Noon, and it's been my username in many different places for almost as long as I've been online.
