What does your BA avatar mean?

I walked into a German beer hall in Brooklyn, called "Der Schwartze Kolner," and I was blown away by the tap selection. I hadn't had much exposure to German beer at the time, so I was immediately grabbed by that row of taps. I took a picture of it, saved it, and it seemed wholly appropriate. As I recall, I tried to work my way down the line, but I didn't make it past the half way point. The bar has a new name, but it is still a German beer hall. It's not too far from the Barclay's Center.

 

I like comics, and usually enjoy a good villan.

 

mine's pretty straightforward. Its my favorite beer.

I have a beautiful pit bull (Not pictured) and I love old fashioned stuff and cigars. I also really love pit bulls and other such bully breeds. Raise an ambassador, not an attacker.

I got mine at a poster sale at the University in my city but i'm sure you could find them without any issue online.

A Google search of "Vintage Guinness Posters" yields plenty of results.

 

I'm from Pittsburgh and, until last month, was living in the Lawrenceville neighborhood. Did a trade with a guy for a bunch of Bissell Bros Substance and Swish. Went out to my car one day, looked up, and for the first time notice that "Bissell Way" was right behind my apartment. I ran inside, grabbed a can of each beer, snapped the picture, posted it to Instagram, and tagged Peter Bissell. He approved.

It's a painting by Leon Golub called "Fuck Death". It was his reaction to terrorist action; I've appropriated it to mean any unnecessary (read unchosen) loss of mortality.

Absolutely entranced by this incredible beer. Wish it was available on tap somewhere up where I live now on the Olympic Peninsula.
