What does your BA avatar mean?

Nothing creative just the state flag of Virginia.

 

Mine is of the first brewery i became interested in. Forst brewery in Northern Italy, near the Austrian border. We used to go to a bar in Florence where they had the entire Forst lineup on draught and for a 20 year old from new jersey who was used to natty light, this just seemed so damn exotic. I like to keep it as a memento of my first real beer experience.

 

I'm pretty sure being on a beer website automatically voids your luddite card, brah.

 

The Rhinelander Shorty beer. Back in the day, my great grandfather worked for the brewery. My mother claimed that it was his idea to make a "shorty" beer (I know...bad idea). He never really got credit for this though.

My avatar is an Advent wreath, with the number of lit candles indicating the current week of the Advent season. It will change several times during the upcoming Christmas and Epiphany seasons.

Edit: I love this time of year.

Mine is the Integral symbol from Calculus.

It represents a personal achievement for me as I went from barley knowing my times tables to achieving my goal of making it to calculus and beyond.

It all started to sink in when I wrote my first Integral and therefore that's my avatar.

I think in the Eighties it used to be called Löwenbrau Special and it had that nice silver/golden foil on its neck, check the vintage bottle here, third one from the right, I think this was the one in your hands:
