This thread makes me wish that I had come up with a more creative screen name.

For me, the name Circles was the name of my old band that I started back in 2002 & the 413 is a record label. Not my record label but a record label nevertheless.

 

Had this screen name since I was 13. I explained it to my cousin one evening:
"Dude, it's Jive X 5000. He's the god of acid."

 

Cult Classic was my favorite album from a now defunct hardcore/metal band called Scarlet. Not necessarily a favorite album of all time, but I always liked how the words went together. Of course it also means a movie or book that has a "cult" following, like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, or Black Dynamite (one of my favorite movies). And I was born in 1989. It's been my login name for everything for a while now.

I know this wasnt directed at myself but I graduated UConn in 2010.

To the point of this post, I couldnt think of a name for the foums and just went with OddNotion which was the experimental beer in each seasonal magic hat mix pack, which at the time I really enjoyed.

I usually save my darkest or BA brews for last. Coincidently, my night cap is usually my favorite drink, hence EveningCordial.

Jimmy Fishkin was the name of a character on the show Keen Eddie (criminally underrated IMO) that was a big brutish thug, but also sang in off broadway Monty Python musicals. For some reason the name just stuck with me.

 

Nietzsche, a favorite philosopher, reportedly threw himself in front of a horse that was being whipped in a public square late in his life. He may have been mad at the time (from possible brain cancer), but this has always struck me as a profoundly sane and beautiful act.

Nickname from one of the friends I used to brew with. I'd just finished socking a ridiculous number of hop batches for a continuously hopped beer we were brewing. Thankfully it stuck because I prefered it to the previous name--brew bitch!

 

I use Mantooth because of the movie Anchorman - my first name is Wes, like the character Wes Mantooth.

 

Just a goofy synonym for beer.

I'm an old timer by comparison...1988. Hell, graduated law school at Kansas in 94. I still remember the first Sam Adams I ever tried at UConn....and gagged on. Craft beer was an infant then.
