What does your BA username mean?

mines just my initials and birthday for the numbers.

 

I was half drunk when I made it up. But humulus is the genus name for hops and the loner part I had Charles Bukowski as my avatar picked out so I figured he was a loner and so it was inebriated thinking at its finest! Kind of stuck with it now! The 22 has no significance at all! Those were just the first numbers I pushed after to make it different.

 

What I do for a living. At least until 3/30/15. Then it will be what I did for a living for the last 25 years.

 

My job... I am a Special Education Professor.

It's the name of the protagonist from Aristophane's The Birds. Been using as an screen name on different websites/games for ~10 years or so. Mostly started using it because it's rarely taken.

Mine refers to the first letters of my first and last name, it is also an anagram for fake, which I'm not

 

"Go" "Pens". I'm a huge Pens fan. 44 because that was my number growing up (was a huge Brian Bosworth fan during his Oklahoma days). I started using the handle as my first email addy even before Brooks Orpik (arguably most renowned 44 of Pens fame) came around. If I am not mistaken, Rob Brown wore the #44 sweater when I came up with the handle.

I always assumed my avatar and username were relatively self-explanatory.

 

My username is a direct quote from one of my more reckless friends, who years ago had fallen down a set of entryway stairs while naked and severely intoxicated at a party. After getting locked out of the apartment, completely naked and covered in blood, he ran over to a nearby gas station trying to get in. When he realized the door was locked, he yelled to the gas station clerk through the glass door... "help me! bloody!"

 

I work for an insurance broker.

The avatar? I like watching Erin Andrews eating hot dogs.

It comes from an old Irish word that has the same root as meed, it means intoxicating and is the name of an old Pagan Goddess/mythological figure. On second thoughts, not a good name for a male user.

 

I changed mine a few months ago. It used to be a picture of Ai Wei Wei, the Chinese artist/human rights activist, but now my avatar is whatever you interpret it to be.
