It's from an old email address that uses a variation on my first name and last initial. Woohoo. Exciting.

darhobo123 was my first ever online name, back in the AOL days 15 years ago or so.. sometimes I still use it for random things.

 

I'll do it again for the same reason.
Originally, the name is due to my brother and I signing up together. We're 2 beer dogs. Plus our dogs were named after beers. Taddy, a black lab, was named after Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter. And Nuke our Shepherd/Rott mix was named after Newcastle Brown Ale (Hey it was the early 90's, we thought it was pretty good at the time).

That I didn't think things through. Either that or the night I signed up I was on BeerAdvocate because of a lot of beer. I'm actually a not peeved that changing it isn't an option; I'd like a new one more in line with my current online persona.

My initials are EZ which is what most people call me. In college, my buddies all started calling me Ezail, a character in the movie Friday, not because I was a crackhead!, but because it expanded on the standard EZ. I just spell it differently.
