What does your BA username mean?

Rudie Can't Fail is my favorite song by my favorite band, The Clash. It also has a line in it, "Drinkin' brew for breakfast, Rudie can't fail." Appropriate for BA.

 

My name is Tom, and I am a certified and rostered Director of Christian Outreach (DCO) in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. This was a mid-life career move that involved enrolling full-time at Concordia University (St. Paul, MN), where the tuition for one semester was more than I spent in my four years at tOSU. It's been 19 years, and I'm still paying for it. I figure I've earned the privilege of using my title whenever and wherever I can.

 

I'm super judgy when it comes to stouts.. 40 is the beer SRM color "black".

 

Love sherry matured single malt scotches. Haven't quite found my bearings with regards to beer, though, so if someone can draw comparisons, even better!

 

I like Depeche Mode and 1983 is when i was born. I kinda wish I could change it. I remember I didn't really put much thought into creating my user name.

It's oxymoron(ish) reminder that I'm not as smart as I think I am.

 

I had a Rottweiler named Izzy. I got her for my 16th birthday and she made it all the way until I was 30. Great dog!

 

It was an email username that my wife created and I shared the account with her. When I needed a username for BA way back in 2005, it spilled over to here. That's all I got.

 

Mr. Lahey was a character from a canadian comedy show, the trailer park boys. He'd get shitfaced drunk and try to foil the boys' plans. He spoke of not just drinking liquor, but being the liquor.

It seemed an appropriate screen name for a site dedicated to alcohol (although not liquor) Unfortunately the actor who played Mr. Lahey passed away this year... but the screen name lives on.

 

I was a little under the influence one night, when I remembered a conversation I'd had with some friends about buying funny domain names when you've been drinking. Maddox is my cat, he's fat so I thought it'd be funny. Around the same time I figured I'd try my hand at beer blogging' so I used the Fat Maddox domain.

 

I'm from Mississippi so it's kind of a play on words re: sipping beer.

 

My name matches my avatar.

 

My first name, part of my last name, and bday.

 

Ace was my dogs name. I also like the movie paid in full .
