I guess I need to switch up my locations. I haven’t seen GKnight or Nugget Nectar in Charlotte for a couple of years now.

Harris Teeters has 15 packs of G Knight, Mamas Little Yellow , Can O Bliss, Dales, another IPA $15.99. 2/8 canning. NN is long gone if it ever showed up.

Just found one! Cigar City Brewery from Tampa just made it to my area. I bought 2 six packs of Tocobaga Red IPA, big hoppy and great. I am like you....I love these beers. Rogue St. Red was one of my favorites back in the day.

Troegs NN and Surly Furious are my favs.

I really like Nosferatu but I couldn't find any last fall in my little corner of Eastern PA. I thought that maybe they discontinued it or made it brewery-only.

Sucking down a G Knight from Oskar Blues. Used to have a label on it saying the Big Red Sticky, but thats gone. It used to have a very distinctive hop hit, that’s imo gone too. This is still a very good beer, it’s just different from when it was Gordon's , and brewed in Co. I’d easily buy a six though. It’s a deep amber more so than red.

G'Knight is listed as an "Imperial Red" here, but probably has just enough hop presence to qualify, although it's not going to seem like one to people who want more aggression.

Red Rocket Ale from the Bear Republic was an excellent red IPA. If you look at the beer styles section on this site for IPA you will not find a "Red IPA" as a choice.

Curious if the Co brewery is different than the NC version? What I have here isn’t red or close to it, more a deep amber. It used to have a very distinct taste to it, but what I’ve tasted is nothing like the Gordons of 8 years ago. It’s certainly not the Big Red Sticky right now, still good, definitely different.

CCB Tocobaga Red Ale is on the Publix shelves all the time down here. I used to really enjoy it. Unfortunately, it gives me bad acid reflux for some reason.

Definitely NOT a beer that i would ever want to drink aged...again.
One of the beers that the hoppiness and flavor drops off really quickly, imo.

I just see a big syrupy mess of a beer. Ugh, not at any price let alone full price.

While Arrogant Bastard is a great beer and I do agree with your assesment, to a point. I don't think it's a red IPA...maybe an Imperial Red IPA?:stuck_out_tongue:

NN fresh? Man you can't beat it! When I lived in PA, I drank tons of it when it was released.
I really wish Tröegs distro reached Florida.
