Or Pipeworks (get some UvN), Half Acre, Ale Syndicate, Spiteful, Off-Color. All are putting out great stuff...
There are too many breweries in Chicago to list but a few are Half Acre, Off color, Penrose, Solemn Oath, etc. Try to get any abductions or ninja series from Pipeworks. You will not be disappointed.
Off Color's Apex Predator is a dream summer beer. Most Revolution is pretty decent, personal favorite is a Little Crazy. If he can score you some fresh Zombie Dust go for it, it's the best floyds, but tapers off kind of fast. PW's Citra Ninja is ZD's equal IMO. I also respect the hell out of 3F's Live a Rich Life.
For FFF I'd go Permanent Funeral (if he can still get you any), Zombie Dust, Dreadnaught. I agree with big789J that Pipeworks Citra Ninja is as good as Zombie Dust (I actually prefer it, but that's because I prefer DIPAs in general). Honestly, Pipeworks has a lot of interesting stuff, so there's a few beers they've currently got are worth it. From Half Acre, you might find Daisy Cutter worth trying, and I'd give Akari Shogun a look too.
Half Acre Gin Barrel Pony Pilsner. It's only on tap, so he/she would need to get a growler/howler. But it's awesome. Layers of flavor. Like a cake. A liquid beer cake.
