All of the shops in Houston have a 09/10/2015 bottle date on them. Have they slowed down on brewing this stuff? It seems that at one point there was a fresh batch each month.
This most likely means that Endeavour isn't selling as well as it used to. The less movement a beer gets, the longer the fresh batches will sit in a warehouse.
From Twitter: SaintArnold @tpgraham Should be some 10/28 out there. We have a bottling run scheduled for next week as well. 12/2/15, 2:45 PM
Art Car has become increasingly popular, though Endeavour still holds strong. There is 10/28 out there. We've been releasing fresh Endo every 3-4 weeks for the last couple years, so freshness is store dependent, honestly. Ask your local shop to try and get the latest batch.
My Walmart has som from an August batch. Only 3.50 per bottle. I bought one. It had really dropped off.
Trying to get Endeavour fresh from the distributor in Austin was like beating my head against a wall so I gave up. On the plus side, I love Art Car. Just can't get enough.
Just because St. Arnold is releasing a fresh batch doesn't mean that all retailers will be able to accommodate it. Hopefully a decent amount will.
Hay Merchant had it on tap a few days ago and I got a growler. I forgot how good it is fresh! That's the only way I know of to get it fresh.
Fresh endeavor is a myth in Austin. I've seen the Chupacabra more times than I have endeavor less than a month or two old. Maybe I can find some in Houston around Xmas time when I visit the in laws, or just stop by the brewery.
I seriously love the stuff fresh. Within 30 days of bottling it is easily one of my top 3 IIPAs readily available. After that, I don't even bother. I swung by Spec's on Smith on a whim to see if they had any of last weeks bottle run. No dice.
Just had a Rocket Santa at Gordon Street Tavern. Fresh Endeavour on draft mixed with Christmas Ale on draft. It was delicious. Liked it a lot better than Sailing Santa.
