Craft beer is just like everything else in life...you choose the depth of your experience...you touched on it with coffee and Mexican food.

Most things in life have a deeper relevance if you choose to search them out. Millions of people buy Kraft "cheese" slices, little do they know ...Iceberg "lettuce", ya right ...Folgers/Maxwell House, uhg! You could go on and on...fried fish, sushi...corporate music verses the millions of starving artists that are much better...Panama Beach, when Florida boast some of the most secluded white beach Islands in the world.

That is not to say any of those choices are wrong and/or misinformed...some people don't like Starbucks or a good moldy blue cheese. Some people would rather listen to Bieber than the Black Keys or vacation with concrete/steal giants instead of Mother Nature's tropical backyard...and yes...some would rather drink BMC over craft, not because they are sheep but because they like the taste.

It's all good...I'll choose my path, you choose yours, hopefully we will both make friends on the way and enjoy the ride.

    "Haters hate...drinkers drink" :sunglasses:

Yeah, I get comments about that, too.

And when we talk beer to others that are not into craft beer, they get that same impression.

Take a chill, these comments are in good fun... might have some truth behind them, too.

Craft has given me a good (sometimes expensive) hobby that all my friends and I enjoy, and definitely brought us closer. It made me gain a few LBs but I'm working that off. Craft gave me another hobby of homebrewing which I need to get back into. And it helped me make some new friends as well. So far I'd say its had a very positive impact on my life, Thanks Craft Beer!

As my wife would see it, just another reason to spend money! J/k. It's allowed me to expand my taste horizons and to introduce me to my creative side through homebrewing. It's defined a side of my life.

Lot of negative answers here, craft beer has opened my eyes to a relatively affordable hobby (compared to wine, scotch, yachts, what have you), broadened my pallet, made me actually think about the alcoholic beverages i consume, and introduced me to a great community, not to say i don't feel the strain on my wallet and waistline.
