C-Cup IPA, Cascade/Chinook. A no frills Amber Ale. And a MustGo Session Ale (Had various amounts of base malts that I couldn't do anything with by themselves so combined them all to make a batch). 2-row, Munich, and Marris Otter with flaked oats added and a decent dose of Tettnanger at 30 min.

Enjoying a porter that got lost in the kegerator in the garage, I had a whim to see what happened with a little bit of Fee Bros Cherry Bitters and then decided to try it with Regan's Orange Bitters. Both are interesting, I wanted to get a bit of fruit, but not too bitter since the porter is on the roasty side. The cherry comes through mostly on the nose, but the orange is very present in flavor. I think I like the cherry more, but I will have to keep experimenting.

Since I don't have one of my RISs cold, I'm thinking of dosing a Great Lakes Blackout Stout next

My first batch! BSG True Brew Pale Ale w/Safale-03 yeast swapped in...lots of lessons learned. Brewed first weekend in Feb, bottled a week and a half ago. I've been drinking it flat at various points to see what it's like. It's pretty sweet, so I'm not sure I pitched the yeast quite right. My noob hygrometer readings/calculations came out to about 4% ABV.

I started brewing at 9 pm on a Saturday night. At 1:45 am Sunday morning, I finally moved my fermenter bucket to the closet where it was to ferment. I filled the airlock halfway with sanitizer and put it into the little rubber grommet that seals it to the lid. I pushed down and...SPLASH...the poor little grommet just let go of the lid and dropped right into the 5 gallons of wort below. I tried using a sanitized spoon to fish it out, but the wort was too cloudy to see anything. Nearly to the point of exhaustion, I stood in the kitchen and stared at the bucket of sanitizer before me. I poured the remaining sanitizer over my arm and waited a minute. Then, I dunked my whole arm into the wort and fished out the little grommet. Everything turned out ok...this time. I inherited a second carboy now too, so I won't be using the pail in the future, I think.

    I give you...4-Arm Pale Ale[IMG]

@GomerB the first brew is all about getting mistakes out of the way and having a laugh at your own expense. Cheers, and welcome to the club!

Nut brown ale. The keg kicked Wednesday so it barely qualified for this month.

Beer on the left was 8 oz of experimental grapefruit, so4 yeast.

Beer on the right is Citra, Nelson, and Equinox with 1318.
