Have some of my Tripel while kegging a Cal Common. Huge banana notes from the 1214, which is absolutely ok.

What was the hop schedule like? What was the year & source of the Saaz?

Ya! Damn J-Man. Thanks bro. That’s a Hoppy Blonde!

I’m sitting on a chunk of Saaz myself(YVH). I wonder if the terroir and late additions had a factor in the big citrus punch?

Had a large crew of folks over last weekend and all 5 taps (RIS, Pale Ale, Irish Red, Christmas brew, and NEIPA) were hit pretty hard. The guests really liked the NEIPA which did come out pretty tasty. The Pale Ale wasn't quite carbonated enough so looking forward to trying that again this weekend.

I don't doubt that the growing area had something to do with it, but, fwiw, it's faded a bit and more of the classic Saaz character is coming through now as the beer fully conditions.

Remember that experiment where I brewed American lager with cal common yeast, comparing flaked rice and flaked corn, and then decided to blend them together and dry hop with Pekko hops. I haven't touched if for a while until today. It's had time to lager and is delicious.

Tapped my red IPA last night with spruce tips (my Christmas beer this year). 7.5%, 57 IBUs, nicely balanced bitterness with the malty sweetness from the C20 and C60.

Thanks! Used C20, C60 and a pinch of Carafa III to get the color. The lighting helps to bring it out too.

I was suppose to use Blood orange candi syrup for this pale but of course that got spilled so i went with BO flavoring and 2 tsp of McCormick orange which gave it a nice orange blast. Try again next year.

Wrapped up my GF Dubbel brew day and now having my first pint of my GF Mosaic Fort Point clone. TBH, I'm coming off a cold and can't really smell or taste much. I'll just assume it came out ok...

I used the wrong Candi syrup on the Dubbel, hence the darker color.

2018 version of my Wild Plum ale. My buddy forages wild plums on the bike trail. They were juicy and tart. This year I used Belgian saison yeast that took 6 weeks to finish but gave it the right amount of farmhouse funk. Overall I'm pleased with it.

We just moved across New Mexico and unfortunately my homebrewing gear has been in storage since September. So I'm out of "normal" beers and down to a cider, a prickly pear mead, and my brett fruit beers. I brewed 10 gallons of Belgian style blonde, added brett and racked it to 2 fermenters, one had 10 pounds of crabapples, the other had 10 pounds of frozen NM cherries. So as the others are still in extended aging, I was drinking the 2 fruit beers until we moved. Once I get the new garage cleaned out a bit I'll be able to re-tap my beers.
