Something is different with this bottle I have. Nothing like I remember. Bitter and sticky like an average Joe IPA. PT - please don't let the quality slip with this fine brew... it will sully your reputation.

Your description is similar to the bottle I had last year. But I had this year's batch on tap last week and it was stellar IMO.

You could send them an email and not simply hope they see your note here...?

you could pm the op or at the very least quote him and not simply hope he sees your note here.

People create threads just to never check them again?

Definitely not the same beer as last year. Very disappointing. I bought a dozen last year, this year I'm two and done. SMH.

I had one average bottle this year, and one great bottle this year.

Yes inconsistent! Some bottles taste old to me...

Both the bottle of Meadowlark, and the version I had on tap were outstanding this year.

Had three bottles earlier this summer that were excellent also.

Had 4 bottles and all were top notch. before blaming inconsistency consider your own palate and other conditions. Flavor perception of beer changes greatly depending on what you ate that day, ambient air conditions, etc.

Maybe its just not as good as you thought it was.

Not to make this an echo chamber, but the three pints and two bottles I've had from this year's batch were excellent, and tasted at least as great, perhaps better, compared to last year. Sorry to hear about your bad bottle, but I'd give it another shot (or at least try a sample at a bar that has it on tap to double check, if you're near one).

It's actually one of my favorite IPAs on the market, but it can be a pain to find fresh bottles at times. On tap, it's an absolutely beautiful and well-constructed IPA.
