What is your weekly beer allowance??

my problem is that I don't give it an allowance. I range from as little as $10 (as sixer of SN) to as much as $60 (normal stock, a seasonal and a rare seasonal) maybe

 

I go to the bottle store every Friday after work, and tend to spend in the 15-25 dollar range depending on what they get in. However, if I'm out of town and I can snag beers that are not available in CT I'll go well above that range. So on avg, I guess 25 or so.

 

Well I have been taking out the garbage more and changing the gerbil cage so my allowance went up. Picking up a paper route and some baby sitting jobs too.

 

I try to set myself to $20 a week.

I need to try harder.

 

Honestly, I cant even tell ya. Never thought about it. Somewhere between 20-100. Depends.

This exactly. I don't budget myself every week and spend up to a that self imposed limit. There are weeks where I spend nothing, and weeks where I spend 50+. It all depends. I have yet to reach a point where buying beer affects anything else I need/want to do with my money. I figure that's the sweet spot.

 

Try to spend around $20, then drink about $10 worth, rinse and repeat.

Except on my birthday, when I use all my presents right quick.

 

Depends on wether I can find Pliny/Blind Pig or not. If I can find Pliny/Blind Pig I buy as many as I am allowed. If I can't I tend to pinch my pennies on other beers. Usually about $40.00 without Pliny about $80.00 w/ Pliny.

 

Don't have an allowance. Some weeks I spend $200, some weeks $2. My spending ebbs and flows with the special releases.

 

Oh the joys of being single. I used to get bitched at for my beer spending....no more. Im in the same boat with the some weeks its $100+ and some its nothing. Its still less then I want and more then I should. But I agree the sweet spot is as long as its not affecting bills or even other things you want to do, then your golden.

 

Considering what I consume over an "average" week, I would say around $30. Certain weeks I spend few dollars for a pint at the pub and everything else come from the cellar and is enjoyed at home. Some others I will make purchases for the said cellar and can go much higher.

 

...Or your health by drinking too much everyday.

 

Can't say per week bit per month 400. To 600. Thankful for a good job or else i d be in real trouble.

Like some of the others mentioned, my weekly amount varies. I think the most I've spent in a week is about $150, but there have been several weeks where I've spent $0. Just depends what catches my eye or what is in season.
