Knocked a nearly full nottle of Basil Hayden onto a concrete floor with the swinging headstock of my guitar one night. Was late, and the stores were closed so I was forced to drink Geary's Summer for the remainder of the evening.

Where's whitemomba at? LOL This poor bastard had an entire case of CBS fall out of his hatchback while they were at a gas station filling up for the return ride home to Chicago. Not a single bottle could be salvaged, and the entire car full of people for whom the case represented, drove home in a one car funeral procession.

I've had a bottle of Sout Trooper fail in a box in the cellar adn didnt know for quite a while. What a dried up, horrible moldy mess that was to clean. Also have lost quite a bit of glassware to the damn cat. What makes it worse iis it is usually people leaving the glass on the counter who haven't used it to drink beer out of....very frustrating

Had a case (Lagunitas WTF) carrying an array of big bottles and a few regulars.
Handle ripped on one side, down she goes!
    Lost 3 regular bottles.
Arcadia Ales - Cereal Killer Barleywine
    Stone - Oaked Arrogant Bastard
Dieu du Ciel - Solstice D'Hiver

That hurt. But my interlocked driveway stone thanked me. I heard him.

Never tried that - but the liquor store by my office still has Big Dick's Olde Ale from 2008

Buddy dropped a box of my beer a few weeks ago that could have been an epic tragedy. There was a King Henry, CBS, 2011 Dark Lord, 2010 BA Decadence, 2011 Arctic Devil, and a 2007 Abyss. Fortunately only the 2007 Abyss broke. I was pretty livid at the moment, but it was his birthday so I quickly got over it, and we went on to drink the rest of those beers.

I brewed 5 gallons of imperial stout. It took a month to ferment and six months to condition. I put it in the kegerator, hooked it up and for 4 or 5 days I enjoyed a delicious pint of 12% ABV Imperial stout. Then I opened the tap one day and nothing happened. I opened the keezer and there was 4.5 gallons of wasted beer sloshing around the bottom. A tiny almost invisible crack on an o-ring allowed all the beer to leak out first and then all the CO2 in my tank went next.

Inlaws moved a few of my beers in their cellar this week. They dropped a 2008 BCBS. Anyone know a good divorce lawyer? I was just getting the '08 ready for Kindergarten next Fall :slight_frown:

This year, Dark Lord Day. I felt uneasy about the box holding my Dark Lord, and the Bourbon Barrel Aged DL. As I was bending down to put the case on the ground, the handle tore. Darn near soiled the underwear I wasn't wearing under the kilt.

Net damage to beer: nil. Net damage to my nerves: several bombers' worth :grimacing:

So far my only casualty is a B. Nektar snifter which broke in my bag on my way back from a BA Dark Lord tasting. Totally worth it!
Guess I have been lucky (or just really careful) with my bottles, and everyone shipping to me in trades packs like a champ!

I was expecting some smartass to say that their biggest beer disaster was picking up some bar troll after too many pints.

    Oh....some smartass just did :-)

Similar experience.....dropped a bottle of Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere on the front porch while entering the house. Bottom of the bag just gave out. Too bad, since it was right at release, so I know it was damned fresh. So I turned around and went back and bought another!

Not a major loss, but I dropped a Southern Tier Mokah in my condo's lot a few months ago. While I was cleaning it up my neighbor got home and asked me what was in the bottle I broke as she could smell it and it was like a "Starbucks Frappucino."
