What one style do you just not like?

Sours and funk, can't do it. I've tried many times and it just doesn't taste like beer to me. Don't like Belgian yeasts in my stuff. Pumpkin beers too, never had one I actually though that was good, overly spiced messes that give me heartburn. Blah - most porters/ brown ales, kinda boring styles. I also found out I'm not much into non BA Ris's, without the barrel influence some are just overdone on the roasted malts.

Looks like I'm a very narrow BA and I am. Love IPAs and the like, Pale Ales, BA Stouts, if these didn't exist I'd be drinking PBR I suppose.

 

keep an open mind, there are a ton of mediocre saisons out there these days. I tend to shy away if it isn't one that I know I like.

 

I went through kind of the same thing in about the same time frame. I'm still thinking I will someday come back to them someday

 

Smoked Beers just aren't for me......Other styles I may shy away from for a bit of time as the seasons and tastes change but usually will have again

 

most American craft IPAs taste of overwhelming self-loathing to me. Most DIPAs, too. I don't care what comes before the IPA label, I will pass them on to someone else.

Smoked beers. Unless the smoked malt is put in by the teaspoon, I get an overwhelmingly medicinal/Band-Aid flavour coming through. I just do not get the attraction for something that tastes like Dettol :-/

 

Never been a real big fruit beer fan. Super overly pine tar bombs are not my thing, but some are not too bad. the only real beer I cannot even taste is pumpkin. I tried a few and its a no go. Not a big fan of blueberry beers either. oh and SA cherry lambic jeez that was a epic mistake.
Super smokey beer Even In Bamburg was not something I enjoyed. The onion was nice...

I'm mostly in agreement with this. I've liked a few sours, but any time I get that vinegar flavor I just can't enjoy it. I don't like vinegar, so that's not a flavor I like to taste in a beer.

Pumpkin beers I just don't like (but that's not a "style" is it?)

 

My taste buds simply don't want their sour ticket punched. Other than that I don't really care for the nitro.

 

Prolly the only one but cannot develop a taste for ba stouts

 

Not a fan of hefeweizens, or any wheat/white beers. I like my fruit flavors to come from hops!

 

This. I can drink Black IPAs/Ales, but cannot drink smoked/Rauch beers. Ugh. Don't care for Pumpkins either.

 

Interesting how many people are saying smoke beers. I actually think smoke beers are going to be the next flavor trend in craft. People will be talking about the "smoke bomb" that drank last night and brewers will be falling all over each other to find ways to make beer as smokey as possible. I could be totally off base with this.....
