lot of seasonal stuff - pumkins in the fall, saisons in the summer, barleywines in the winter. also a lot of Belgian styles, namely quads and tripels.

I'm trying to get more into Berliner Weisses. So tart, refreshing and light but with the possibility for so much flavor.

    Just read that slate article?

But srsly, I'm pretty open to whatever. I wouldn't have gotten to the point of liking what I do today if I didn't give 'em a chance. I've recently started getting into the world of mead (to throw a four-letter word into the mix :grimacing:)

I also enjoy single malt scotch and water. Separately though.

    How do you know that?
My profile says I've had 79 styles.

All types and styles...but I don't care too much for sour stuff.

Beat me to it, but I'll echo the sentiment as well: All of them! Too much beer, too little time...

    Generally:

    English-style barleywines/old ales
Lambics, gueuzes, wild ales, Flemish reds and oud bruins
    Saisons/farmhouse ales
    Scotch Ales
Dopplebocks and other malty German styles
    Smoked beers

While I can appreciate a good pale, IPA, or DIPA, I'd always rather have a good interpretation of any of the above, so your IPA generalization definitely doesn't apply to me. I'll honestly try just about anything...except hoppy red ales...the worst.

Premise is flawed. Even though IPAs are clearly the most popular style here, I don't think I've ever read a post where someone proclaimed to drink ONLY IPAs.

Personally, I love lagers, hefeweizens and weissbiers, good pale ales, dopplebocks, Belgian ales (dubbels, tripels, quads, and strong ales), and good DIPAs. I'll take a good, cold Bavarian lager any day, any time.

    I'll answer it this way.

Mostly sessionable beers, 5% abv or less. This means most of the styles I drink are pilsners, bitters, saisons, pale ales, dry Irish stouts....you get the point.

I echo what most others are saying about drinking everything. I particularly like (in addition to IPAs and Stouts):

    Porters
    Sours
    Quads
    Tripels
    Saisons
    Scotch Ales

I would say this is generally false for the majority of people on this site. For every dedicated hophead and stout drinker there are equally plenty of people who love their sours, Belgians, and Lagers.

Actually don't love most stouts (or porters)...

...right now loving Saisons, pilsners, helles, maibock, tripels, kolschs, pale ales.

I had PVW once, it was the 15 year old. It was beyond outstanding. I love bourbon and had been into it for a good bit before that and was still blow away. So good. Sooooo good. I wish I could get a bottle. I'd love to try that 23 year one they got, can't imagine how awesome it is.

On second thought, this is easier if I just tell you the styles I am not into:

Sours and wilds. I've tried them, some of the good ones too, just not my cup of tea. Maybe I'll come around, but I am not going to exert in effort in pursuit of that end.

Save for the sour stuff I'll drink it all and love it (with a big preference going towards Eastern European lagers, English ales, coffee stouts and quality IPA's).

    IPA's are my #1
After that I enjoy flavored (mocha, coffee, vanilla, smoked) stouts and porters
And I like a hearty barleywine now and then
