If the FedEx or UPS people ask when I drop it off, what should I say? The bottles are really secure and so they probably won't hear anything.

Sports Memorabilia is perfect; I can totally improvise that.

"It's um, uh, a Carolina Panthers Cam Newton and Steve Smith signed tandem jersey!"

"No, NOT Steven A. Smith! Just Steve Smith."

Nine times out of ten it's an electric shaver. But every now and then.......it's a dildo.

I've only been asked once and I said memorbilia.

Tell them that whatever it is, it's the bomb. Definitely make sure to accentuate the bomb part - the employees will get a kick out of that.

The best one I've ever heard is "vintage Coke products"

tell them it is some type of liquid that is perfectly fine to ship.

I like marinade, as beer technically can be used as a marinade. Otherwise I like the suggestions of vintage Coke products, olive oil, vinegar, etc.

This is what I always use when asked. Vintage coke bottles.

I usually say barbecue sauce, but I have only been asked once. It was at a UPS store near my parents house. I said barbecue sauce and everything was fine. Of course if there were rare bottles I would have just dropped them elsewhere.

My wife was asked once by some hard charger at a Fedex store. She actually told him to fuck off and took the boxes with her to drop off at another store.

When using FedEx I bring it to Office Max with a label already on it, and they don't ask what it is. For UPS I do the same but bring it to Staples.

I'd say it's none of their damn business. I've said it before, privacy should be part of a shipping company's customer service.

This might be the "right" answer, but you also don't want to give them a reason to get annoyed and ask someone to check your box, possibly out of spite or something.

I'd really like it if someone who worked at one of the drop off locations would chime in, but who are the employees randomly invading a customer's privacy by opening their packages out of spite? I worked at UPS for almost four years, and the ONLY reason we EVER saw the contents of a package was if it broke open due to poor handling or bad packaging.
