I am five beers away from my 50th beer reviewed here on Beer Advocate. I want my first milestone to be something special. So, I'm asking everyone's opinion. Of the beers sitting in my fridge, which should be number 50? Anchor Liberty Ale, Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale, Old Mephisto Barleywine, Double Dragon Imperial Red Ale, or Captivator Doppelbock?

Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale. Sorry, just partial to most browns, even though I've never tried this one myself. I think its on my list.

You've been a member since May 2007, so if you're 5 away..... that gives us about 9 months to bite our nails in anticipation of your 50th review....

True, but as of last month I made an effort to start being an active member and as such, the next five reviews will be up sometime next week

Hate to tell you though, I'm Canadian, not American. But I appreciate the argument. After all, whenever I'm in the mood for an American style IPA, Anchor is my go-to choice for the style.

No no no! None of these. Find the style that you're most fond of and pick a new or one-off of that style so it's relevent. Enjoy that bitch like there's no tomorrow!

well if you're so inclined to believe numbers hold special circumstance, then I would suggest something like bud lite lime a rita for #49 and then follow whatever #50 is with a heineken that sat in the sun for a few days for #51......

Whatever you pick up when you reach in the fridge. 50 isn't such a big deal.
