I built my serving keezer from that same model. My fermentation freezer is much larger (24 cf maybe, bought at a garage sale), but it is now on its last legs so I'm replacing it with another 7.0 cf GE (same model as the serving keezer). That way, when the serving keezer eventually dies, I can just remove the collar/lid from it and put it on the fermentation freezer (thus replacing the serving keezer without a rebuild).

I was back, then quickly gone again. Nice that a few people remember me anyway! Brewing had to take a backseat to life for awhile (or, at least, ride shotgun while I navigated some unpleasant bumps in the road. Still at it though, and have the fridge almost completely restocked after my hiatus. Cheers!

Seems like most 7 cubic foot freezers will fit either two fermenters or 4 ball-lock kegs (though one might have to be a 3-gallon). That's good to know, I got a temperature controller for Christmas and I'm trying to find a used freezer before brewing my next batch. And I'm getting impatient!

Man, I can very easily see myself ending up with two dedicated freezers for homebrew, one for fermenting and one for kegs. What am I becoming?

Piggy backing this thread instead of making a new one...do you guys share a freezer between clean and sour/wild beers(for fermenting)? The risk seems fairly low but I was faced with this decision yesterday and decided to go with ambient temp for the wild primary.
