What state is the best for local craft breweries?

What state has, to name a few...

The Alchemist (Heady Topper)
Hill Farmstead (too many incredible beers to list)
Lawson's Finest (Double Sunshine)

I live in Pittsburgh. It's very difficult to navigate. Try going over one of the bridges in the city and not being 100% sure which lane to be in. It's not a pleasant experience. Maybe it is relative, because I have been through Pittsburgh many times and never had a problem. I have driven in many, many areas of the country and it doesn't have anything on LA, NYC, DC, Miami, Tampa, etc. Not sure how that dude says it is worse than Chicago, that place is a joke.

2 hrs for 52 miles is similar to what I do in the Cleveland area during rush hour.

I can't consider this local as half of these beers I can get in NY. If by local you mean only available at the brewery or at most one-state over, the winner is Vermont by a landslide. I'd like to add that there are 3 GABF gold medal winners within a 30 minute drive of me. Stuff you can only get growler fills of. I'd say it's a pretty good area as well.

Each of those places I listed make growler-only specialty beers...and have those on tap every day. The quality, and the variety alone with one-off beers in San Diego cannot be touched by any one else
