Why would you buy 4 or 5 sixers of something that tastes terrible?

Stock up first, ask questions later.

I had a pint at a bar and it tasted good. Picked up a sixer at a bottle store near that bar, and the two I've had so far tasted fine to me - if not a bit subdued.

All the Sucks I've had over the last few monthshas been just as good as I remember, and Fusion 18 impressed me recently.

Sorry, but sucks didn't suck when I had it the other day. Already 2 sixers down in the season.

Multiple 6 packs, big boy bottles, and numerous kegs at our beer bar.....none of which sucked.

I enjoyed the first release of sucks but haven't revisited recently.
Daytime is nothing like the initial batch.... Nothing! Comeonsrsly, if you can't come close to representing something, just rename it.

Last year Sucks was consistently excellent. This year, the two 32oz I had were good but very different. The sixer I got was better, but still different from last year's -- sweeter than the 32oz, so closer to last year's. definitely some variation, and different from last year as I remember it, but still tasty... Just not what I was looking for when I purchased it.

I had it on tap a few times and it tasted great, picked up a couple of sixers and they were just a bit sweeter, and fuller bodied, with less hop punch... By no means bad beers, but different. I know alot of beers taste different on tap than in the bottle, but this was a more noticable difference

Based on the deleted post. I would guess Lagunitas doesn't advertise on the site.

I had one a couple of weeks ago and thought it was ok, not as I remember from last year, which was great. Then I tried another a couple of days ago, and it was better but still. Both were 12oz bottles.

So, you liked Sucks so much that you bought "4 or 5 sixers"? Plus a sixer of Daytime. And they tasted so terrible you bought another one from Ralph's? I'd say Lagunitas needs more dissatisfied customers like you.

Seriously, Sucks tastes just like I remember it, which is to say pretty damned good. I doubt if opening a plant in Chicago has so seriously distracted the brewers in Petaluma so much that they're suddenly brewing stuff that's not up to their standards. Especially considering Lagunitas did extensive quality control testing when they moved their Petaluma facility some years back to make sure the beers tasted exactly the same. Hard to believe they wouldn't be doing that now. But if you don't like their beers anymore, there's certainly a lot of other options out there. Good luck finding a better value than Sucks.

I think it tastes about the same as last year, which is excellent. Already ran through 3 sixers and just bought 3 more until next winter.

I think Sucks smells great, but the taste is just so so. But, like beating a dead horse, we all have different tastes and likes. I don't get all the enthusiasm for Sucks at all.
I bought a 32 oz bottle with great anticipation and it didn't thrill me (it didn't go to waste though!). Then when the sixers came out, I bought one, and they didn't float my boat. It smells fantastic though, which to me is part of the drinking experience.
I still like their basic IPA though when I want to drink something light.

Have bought three six-packs and loved every last drop. I will say, however, that as they age, there is a pretty noticeable drop in quality. Just buy from places you know take good care of beer.

I've had a 6er and on tap and to my notes and memory it tastes almost exactly the same as it did last year. I don't notice any difference and I live on the other side of the country.

I have a 6er of Suck was that only 20 days old when I bought it and I though it tasted amazing. Maybe you had a bad batch or the product was mistreated somewhere down the line.

Well, thanks for the responses. It must be just a crappy distributor or something down here in South OC. Last year's version of SUCKS was my favorite sixer ever.

ps-Tried the Ponto SIPA from Pizza Port out of the can. RIDICULOUS STUFF. 10 bucks for a Sixer of 16 oz? YES PLZ

Last time I was up there I bought some quart bottles AND a couple sixers of sucks. The quart bottles were significantly better than the 6'ers. I'm fairly sure the same batch and both bought from the source and refrigerated/kept on ice till I got back to SD.
