Of Foothills BA Porter. I'm the only one who drinks anything else but Miller Lite, but I can't drink half a gallon of fucking beer. How long will it live once it's popped?.

Drink it within 48 hours once opened. It's best if you can finish it in one night (with a friend), but will be okay the next day too.

It almost sounds like a job, roll up your sleeves and start drinking. Love the stuff, but I don't want to drink 64 oz of it in 24 hours. If I could bring glass to the pool i would pass it around for better or worse, but I'm already on the shit list for bringing Flower Power to the pool two weeks ago.

It's just four pints. Have you never had four pints of beer in one night before? Start early.

64oz growler of BBL Porter? Woah.

Organize a tasting or trade it.

Was it bottom filled or counter pressure? It will probably last a little longer if it is the later of the two. A counter pressure gallon has been good for me after 3 days but not much after that. Bottom filled I would drink immediately.

This is a pretty low gravity beer. Drink the thing.

from your title I would say. Once your done with it, shove several cloves of garlic and basil in it and fill it with decent olive oil. Give it a month and you wont believe how flavorful it is.
now that I have read, you have to know one person that you can share with. Tell em "I have the beer, bring a snack" From someone who does growlerss very frequently, I have never had an issue either finishing or sharing a growler.

This is why I've never bought a growler.

Actually it was a Comp from Foothills compliments of Whitney, and I started drinking it, love it. I'll finish it tomorrow, after a sixer at the pool kinda day today.

Love Whitney! Poor it into a stainless steel bottle and take it to the pool with you!

What do you consider "pretty low gravity beer"? I'm pretty sure the porter is in the 6-7% ABV range before it goes into the bourbon barrels. I'm not sure it picks up more and a fraction of a percentage from the barrels, but I wouldn't consider it a low gravity beer.

A sealed growler will last for a while, the main problem is the shelf life is basically nothing once you open it. In my experience if you open it, drink half, then wait for the next day, the carbonation will be much lower. If you wait two days it'll be completely flat.

If I were you I'd either drink it over two weeknights, or finish it off one weekend day. Also, I'd make some friends who like beer.

I would consider it pretty low gravity considering we're talking about drinking four pints of it as opposed to sessioning the shit for 7 hours. Yes, I consider 6-7 on low end..

I had a gallon growler of CCB Jai Alai IPA, drank it over a week, last pint had just as much carb as the first. Yes it was counter pressure filled.

I drank it all, finished it tonight. The ABV isn't the problem, I can quaff IPA's of the same ABV, BA stuff not so much. More sippable than pound it down. I pounded it tonight.

Drink it and if it goes flat use it as a marinade or brine for something.
