I Decided I don't want to go through the hassle of bottling anymore. I Recently purchased multiple kegs. So I have hundreds of empty bottles boxed in my garage and I'm wondering what to do with them. They are not label free bottles. All are from many a good drinking nights.
Probably put them on craigslist or something. Find a homebrew club and offer them to the folks there.. Check your LHBS and see if anyone in there needs or wants them. Good brewing karma.
Whatever you do with them (FATC1TY's suggestions are good), you should probably keep a case or two of empties around, just in case you ever want to bottle part of a batch (or a whole batch) for whatever reason. It'd be mildly annoying to have to collect and clean a new set of bottles
I agree. I typically bottle sours, brett, Belgians and anything that is high gravity. I am reluctant to set offbeat bug fermenters into my kegging system. As for the high gravity stuff, I don't drink them all that fast and like to keep my kegs for more sessionable brews with high turnover rates. Regarding the Belgians, most of these are high gravity or beers that I otherwise want to keep for a while.
Definitely keep a couple cases. Some beers are just a lot better bottle conditioned, just as some are better on draft. Other homebrewers will be glad to take the rest off your hands.
