Just flew into Sacramento and will be here and San Francisco over the next 4 days. Any recommendations for beers I might have a hard time finding on the east coast back home? Friend told me Alpine, San Diego, and Modern Times? I like solid IPAs, Belgians, Abby Ales etc.
Little ways away from San Diego, if you're in San Fran, go to Cellarmaker for IPAS, if you want to drive up north to Russian River for Pliny its only about an hour.
Look for Knee Deep IPA's. The brewery is about 30-45 minutes from Sacramento. But you should be able to find their bottles almost anywhere in the city. But look for the freshness date on the bottles. A lot of bottles are old.
