I've been hanging on to my last bottle of 17 Abraxas for a dinner with the SO. Really want to knock this out of the park - any recommendations on cheeses, main dishes or desserts that'd work well with this beauty?

Vanilla or cinnamon ice cream seems like a gimme, maybe bbq or 5 spice pork shoulder, mashed/candied sweet potato could work. Open to any opinions.

    Thanks in advance

Just my opinion, but I would use several beers for the dinner. It will be tough to pick out several courses that will pair well with a heavy adjunct stout. Plus your likely to run out after the second course, lol.

I'd open it with dessert of some sort. Anything with chocolate would be great. I like your idea with the ice cream. I don't see cheese being a good option but your main dish option sounds like a good combo. Braised beef or pork with mashed sweet potatoes. I prefer to dice and panfry until caramelized. I would want something hearty if I chose to pair it with dinner.

Ultimately you cant go wrong......unless your pairing it with sushi. HA!
