The beer that got me interested was when I was given a Trader Joses Dark. Got really into it when I had a Foothills Brewing Hoppyum IPA

My first real craft beer was a Bell's Pale Ale. Didn't care for it at the time. Came a long way since then

The Shed still exists as a brewery, owned by and brewed at Otter Creek. The Shed building is also still around, known now as Idletyme Brewing Company. Incidentally, both Mike Gerhart from Otter Creek and Shaun Hill from Hill Farmstead worked at the Shed back in the day.

    1) First "Craft" beer I bought(which actually was the first year I was legal to buy) was Blue Moon(2007)...
    2) First Brewery I visited was Surly(grew up in MN, moved to Iowa for school/career)

Like several fellow advocates, I think my first "craft" beer would pre-date the very notion of "craft" beer by quite a long way. But for what it's worth, peering back through the mists of time:

Timothy Taylor Best Bitter - in the form of a shandy - around 1986.
