The ever classic Pabst Blue Ribbon, likely at some basement party sophomore year of college.

First taste was dad's Rolling Rock.

First beer I liked enough to drink a full bottle was Yuengling. I was 19, camping with some older friends, and we ran out of water before we ran out of booze.

At 12 years old, with two friends, we swiped a can of warm Rheingold from my friend’s basement, and passed it around.

From warm Rheingold drank from a can to Trappistes Rochefort 10 served at the 55 degrees in the proper glassware, it’s been an interesting journey.

Coors from Oklahoma (3.2 beer) in 1972. Was in high school and camping at Lake Texoma and at that time girls who were 18 could buy beer in Oklahoma (guys had to be 21). A friend's older sister bought us five sophomores a case of beer.

Yeah, we were really cool in 1972.

Coors Light. A friend who got it out of his dad's garage fridge and brought it out to our fort in the woods. I was 12'ish I think...and I didn't like it at all.

My first beer was Heineken, I believe a 22 ounce bottle, I bought the morning I turned 21. I absolutely hated it and only drank about 5 sips before tossing it out. It was very skunked to say the least.

I had a few tastes when i was a wee little child ..... but my first "official" beer was when my parents had left town and me and my cousin raided the fridge in the garage, found a 12 pack of MGD and the rest is history. I was about 16 or 17 at the time.

It was a Breda, what was then a Dutch beer and very popular in the Channel Islands. This was 1990/91.. my bestmate at the time was 2 years than my 15.. we were at Sands, a old surfers nightclub on the beach. Remember walking the 2 miles home in a state not really knowing what was up with me, then waking my mum when I came in the house.

Probably Bass around 1951 when it was a very different beast from today's version. There was an opened bottle in the pantry and I took a swig.My mother, who could see round corners and through walls, caught me and I was dealt with. The big crime was not the beer but drinking out of the bottle which is something a gentleman would never do.

Corona extra from the bottle, no lime. Every time I'd sip it the thing would foam over. It tasted terrible and I barely finished it

First actual taste of beer: five years old from my uncle. Probably a Miller light or some shit.

First full beer: Young's Double Chocolate Stout on my 21st birthday. The former scarred me so badly I seriously avoided beer in general in favor of other booze until my best friend coaxed me into trying real beer. Bless his soul.

First beer I remember trying, and having half a can, was Stones's Best Bitter. Would have been around 1978/79, so 8 or 9. First beer I bought with my own money, in a pub, was Thwaites Best Bitter on cask. I was 16, but the barmaid was in the same school as me, a year higher, so it wasn't an 'issue' getting served. We dated not long after

I got drunk for the first time the summer after graduating high school. I had probably two thirds of a pint of vodka. After puking the third time, I started feeling a little better, so a friend gave me a Budweiser. I almost puked again just from the taste. He laughed and told me it was an acquired taste. I thought he was an asshole, full of shit and I hated him.

Turns out it was some of the wisest wisdom I've ever received. I still enjoy a Budweiser from time to time.

Red Dog. In High School. At my parents house with friends of mine when they were gone for the weekend. I don't remember actually liking it much, but remember drinking too many of them

Living in South Africa and attending an International School, my friends and I realized around 13 years old that being the children of expats with our distinctly un-South African accents, we could easily take advantage of the situation. We would go to the Monte Casino in Joburg and order Jack and Cokes and play the slot machines. Soon we graduated to the local taverns and started ordering shots of things like Apple Pucker and Cinnamon Schnaps. First beer I can remember ordering was a Castle Lager and I immediately felt like the coolest cat in the group with a beer in hand and a pubescent mustache adorning my upper lip. Oh the glory days!
