A Sam Adams from at least 10 years ago. I am not sure they qualified as "craft" by then though. Beyond that, I would have to say Arrogant Bastard within the past 5 years and maybe something from those Michelob variety packs from over 6 years ago if that qualifies.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Still a classic. 2nd was probably Fat Tire or Sam Adams Lager. Still find them all to be great examples of their respective styles.

On the British side it was something from Samuel Smith.

Sam Lager, maybe 1985. Still enjoy it from time to time. Unless you want to count Lowenbrau dark?

Bell's Oberon, either 2000 or 2001. Watching a crummy band my friend played in at a crummy bar outside Detroit. The mug (yeah, one of those squat, dimpled ones) was handed to me and the switch, as they say, was flipped.

I can't say for sure as it was many beers and many brain cells ago :astonished: but I do remember purchasing Arrogant Bastard just because of the the cool gargoyle. I wasn't a fan at the time because I couldn't comprehend it but now, its one of my favorites.

Had to be Sierra Nevada. This was mid 90's high school years. SN had three or 4 styles to choose from in my area. The pale ale green label, the porter in a blue label and then I believe there was a yellow label, but can't remember what style and I think there may have been a red or black label. Does anyone remember what the regular lineup was in this time period and what style went with what color label?

I could just be confused with American Spirits too. SN and Spirits were big back then and had similar colors for the different labels/packaging.

It was either a Pete's Wicked Ale Strawberry Blonde or a Sam Adams Boston Lager
