My buddy got me hooked about 4 years old. My first homebrew was a BombShell Blonde by Southern Star, which I still brew today!

I only just brewed my second batch last week, but my first was an Anchor Steam clone from Northern Brewer. Apparently people found this pretty impressive since lagering can be difficult, it definitely helped that I had a basement to keep the temperature steady. I thought it came out great, some even said they liked it over the real thing. Prost!

we tried a belgian double about 10 years ago, took 7 years off and started again with a westvleteren 12 clone.

I still have a bottle of the westvleteren left.

A Brewhouse Wort kit (like a wine juice kit) that was a "Pilsner" with dry Cooper's yeast.

4 year olds probably shouldn't be home brewing, but who am I to judge.

My first was a simple brown.

My first bacth was maybe 17 years ago with a friend. We did the beginner pale ale recipe from one of thI how-to-homebrew books. It was nasty, apple-cidery shit. I think we used the yeast packet from the can of extract. Don't ever do that, lol.

My first brew was actually my second... being that the very first one I did was actually brewed by an experienced brewer at his house, and I was only along for the ride (and took home 5 gallons of wort). So my second brew was actually my first solo effort. It was an English IPA with columbus and NB, plus Nottingham yeast, and it came out great!

BTW I am not counting Mr Beer, as I had mixed successes with them due to water issues before I just figured out that it's easier to buy spring water here.

If you looking for an awsome home brew recipe, try this one. I brewed it a while back for a "101 Learn to Home Brew class at our shop. It come out amazing...7.9% ABV and 70 IBU's. Yummy! If anyone does get a change please let me know how it turned out. If you're looking for an All- Grain, replace the extract with 2 Row and

Also, added a pack of US-04 dry yeast.

It's a Wheat IPA- Partail Mash.

First brew was an extract w/ steeped grains American Wheat, dubbed the Bitterweizen due to its over the top bittering and abundance of trub in the bottles from bottling too early.

First all grain was a sweet potato stout with 8 lbs of carmelized, mashed yams in the mash, which was done in an igloo cooler with an upside down kitchen collander as a false bottom (Ghetto; decided to brew all grain spur of the moment), which resulted in a major stuck sparge, but in the end a surprisingly good beer.

Alton Brown's Good Brew, sort of a nice English mild/pale.

Our major newbie mistake was leaving the steeping grains in throughout the entire boil. Thankfully it did not turn out to be a tannic nightmare, in fact the theoretical tannin extraction was not even noticeable.

First brew was a winter warmer, using a kit from Northern Brewer, but with our own grown Cascade and Brewers Gold whole leaf hops.

A barleywine that doubled as a bomb. Most of the bottles went kaboom but after three years the surviving bottles were pretty good but made my ass go kaboom.

First was a brown ale from a kit that I screwed up in every way possible and still turned out nice.
Second was my own recipe (and I pretty much consider it my first for that reason) made with rye, peppercorns, juniper berries, and German hops and yeast.

I just recently got my own homebrewing setup and went with a APA for my first batch.

My first ever was an extract kit: Ironmaster Porter. I still remember how good it tasted. That was more years ago than I care to mention.
