Lost Continent Double IPA from Grand Teton Brewing Co. Was not a fan of the style until this one. Good aromatics, balanced bitterness and sweetness from abv. Since then I got into brewing and the awesomeness that is HOPS

Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA. That's the first IPA I didn't hate.

Stone IPA was one of the first IPA's I experienced. Sculpin, by Ballast Point, was the first IPA to give my liver an orgasm.

Ranger. It was right there on my grocery store shelf--became my house beer. Truly a gateway IPA for me...

You know, I was going to google to make sure my memory was correct. Definitely started w Red Hook and in those days drank a lot of Fullers ESB (kegged). Definitely remember Bridgeprt as the IPA I started with, so when would that have been? 1994 or so? Pretty sure I was drinking a lot of Avery IPA by 1995...

I grew up in Florida, not much IPA drinking in those days, only Coronas.

Then moved to Mass three years ago, hated IPA's. Then my roommate had heady topper. Then month later for christmas, I had Pliny.

    End of story.
