What event or moment got you into beer ? For me, it was going to Oktoberfest in Blumenau, Brazil. The entire little German mountain town came alive to celebrate "choppe" like they do in the old country. Google it. Up next: greatest single beer you've ever consumed, not brand, one single beer in one shining moment?

Didn't get me into beer because I was already in, but my first Great Taste of the Midwest last year. Just an epic event.

Didn't get me into the craft scene, but the Beer Camp festival in Philly a few weeks ago was pretty amazing!

Probably in Vegas. There weren't any places on the strip that had anything i really needed. I heard a place called money plays off the strip had 120 minute and i got really excited to try it. Wheni got there they also had bourbon county coffee stout and barley wine. After enjoying the bar for a couple of hours we paid and the bar tender said she would go on her break and drive us back to the strip.

    Definitely my best experience.

My greatest beer experience is not really appropriate for the boards.

My greatest beer experience so far was in the long line at Ithaca Beer for my first bottle release. I had never been to one and I had no idea why we were going to stand in line, in the snow,3 hours early.

Had a few that are up there, but being on the heels of a fully catered Lion's Club tour of Cantillon back in 1994 was pretty awesome and serendipitous. After the Lions all filed out, they left trays of baguettes filled with meats and cheeses, as well as two half-full, five-liter wooden kegs: one of unblended Lambic and one of Faro. One of the brewers was there, and he invited us to help ourselves to any and everything that was left. We hung out and chatted about Belgian and Bamberg beers (the guy said one of the only German beers he truly loved was Schlenkerla), ate some filled baguettes, and drank the kegs dry.

My father passed away twenty years ago while working for the fire department, and I had trouble coping. I did not follow in his footsteps, and instead became a Policeman. I found his old radio, fixed it, and was somehow able to communicate with him through it. Through a series of trial and errors, we finally were able to meet again. We then shared several beers. That is my greatest beer experience.

drinking Orval in the Ardennes was damn fine.

My first really good or craft beer experience was not that great...I had other objectives in mind at that point in my life. In fact beer was so far Down the list it was NOT even a hobby yet.

My first Dark Lord day was pretty awesome, so much so that we stepped it up the following year. We set up a grill and basically tailgated all day with a ton of great food, and great beers being shared, we traded food for beer and got to talk to some really cool people in the process. We made our way into the festival at certain points during the day to partake in what was going on inside. Just an all around great day.

Probably drinking cask ale across London. Much of the time spent solo. Fav moment was probably sept 2012 at the Churchill Arms. Sitting on the front right corner of the bar w a longtime local. He was probably in his 70s and had been going to the pub everyday for 30 or so years the bartender said. That guy had some pretty awesome stories.

First work trip from Los Angeles to work in SF area. Last day on the job we had to deliver the equipment to Santa Rosa which was a mile from Russian River. It was at the time when I was getting into craft beer so I had a pint of Blind Pig and to a growler of Pliny back.

Simply sharing a Parabola with my brother and uncle on Christmas last year.

Tied with attending Kate the Great day for their last brew of it and standing in the freezing cold for it without a care in the world!
