what was your greatest beer experience?

When these guys let me try this stuff from Cantillon

 

Watching two very cool but seriously macho Aussie guys brag endlessly during tours of Carlsberg and Tuborg breweries (1972 Copenhagen) about their drinking prowess, then over dinner at a crowded Chinese place, toss cookies everywhere. OK, that's not the best beer experience, but maybe now at this remove, the funniest.

 

I greatly enjoy any pub crawls that my wife and I take, whether it's one day or 21 days. We've taken two memorable ones this year, one being a 21-day, 40-brewery trip to northern California and then up to Portland, even while stopping at a brewery or two every night during the trip out and back from Michigan. A second trip was a 7-day, 10-brewery trip to Boston and Vermont. A lot of miles were driven, a lot of pub grub was eaten, and a lot of beers were sampled during both of those trips.
