What we go through Hints & Hauls

    For outsiders, this is a BIF to encompass all the different ways that us beer geeks acquire beer. There is a 125oz min and the following beers.

    1 Brewery only release
    1 Beer that you probably only get if you have your name on the list or if you are there when the distributor drops it off (Hyperbole but you know the beer, CBS, BCBCS etc)
    1 Beer that sits on the shelf of a high traffic store for only a week or so (Abyss, Sucaba, Parabola etc)
    1 Beer that is a locally distributed only beer (distributed only in cities directly around the brewery)
    1 Beer that is a regional gem (A great beer that only sees a 1-4 state distro footprint)
    1 Growler from a local brewpup (Can be 32-64 but hopefully from a local brewpub)
    1 Non pint beer glass

    My target lives in the same state where my father grew up. Furthermore, my dad was a big fan of this states NL major league baseball team, but was more often seen at the states AL team due to his father's allegiances.

    My target lives near where I saw one of the most epic Bruce Springsteen concerts ever back in 2004. Also, I have not been back there since.

    Box will be traveling one time zone away, I live in the Central

    Box SO far...
    Brewery only - check #ed to 650
    Had to be on the list - check
    On the shelf for a week - check
    Local distrobution - check
    Regional gem - check
    Growler - will get before I send
    Oz so far, including growler...183. Wants so far 4

    This will be a fun one!

    I still have to buy most of them - and should be hitting a fair number of wants, but the Brewery only that's coming out of the cellar is from a San Diego brewery that had a disastrous release - one where they changed the bottle limits halfway through. Luckily for my target, I was one of the early birds...

    As for my target, he lives on the opposite coast (give or take) as I do.

    Struggling with a bevy of killer choices to fill the up and down the line..gonna be a great box with estras, and added bonus! Target live in a state that touches and ocean.

    A couple of years back I had to drive a friend's car out to LA for him... really wanted to stop in my target's city but couldn't justify going that far out of the way.

    I'd say my box is about half complete...going to head out this weekend to see if I can find any sweet growler offerings. As for my target, this box is going to someone I have dealt with before.

    This is going to be a fun one... My target HAS NOT posted in this thread. I will represent StL very well. We are blessed to have quite a selection of local craft beers that are attracting some national attention. Have growler already and some of the box put together however I still have quite the list of stuff still left to buy.

    You guys are killing me. My target is has an NBA team (as of today) still in the playoffs.
    I have like 2 bottles and will fill my box by next monday.

    Damn! There were three possible states I feel and you nailed it! Good thing there is a number of people in this BIF from that fine state. I suppose hints will have to get more difficult from here on out...

    A few general hints to start:

    Hint #1 My target lives in a state known as a craft beer mecca
    Hint #2 My target HAS posted in this thread
    Hint #3 Within my current collection I could fill almost exactly 1/3rd of my targets "wants"

    This is gonna be a tough one. Not in that I don't know how I will fill the box, but more so that I need to decide what combination I should put in...

    Hint 2- Target home city had a duo that was "on a mission from god"

    My target lives in on the outskirts of city I visit frequently, racking up FF miles! Huge NFL game between our cities scheduled for October...Ill be there, adding to my FF miles. Might just have to do an IP trade w/ target on the visit. I Have a bunch of his wants.... will get the box out early.
