in your first post you said they were doing it for us not them, when that could not be farther from the truth.

Xyauyu is a good replacement for everything. If I had the money, I'd spend $90 a day drinking a liter of it.

    Where to start?

Well, I guess I have to take the fact that you shook hands with some brewers who promise to not make a profit, and that no Goose Island employees are posting on this thread, as proof my opinion is off base here. I bow to the weight of these arguments.

Only somebody better tell all the craft breweries that are expanding to halt the expansion, somebody better tell all the new breweries about to open that they ought to think twice. Somebody better fix the numbers that show craft beer growing by 13% so they can tell the truth, that craft beer sales actually are falling and that ABI is keeping craft beer off the shelf.

And somebody better inform all the brewers I have met, let's see, that would be about 20, that they need to Cumbaya a bit more, and stop making profits and planning growth, because that ain't what this is all about, it's about love, and sharing, and spirituality.

I guess my lack of education has kept me from these truths, and I thank you for them.

Mephistopheles is delicious, but it also costs $10 per 12 oz. bottle.

Great Lakes Blackout sounds like a winner to me. I know its not BA, but it works for me. Ill have a combination of ORF, Event Horizon, and Silent Night to fill my desires.

I'm going to do what I've been doing... pouring a couple tablespoons of bourbon into my favorite year-round beers.

no, it's a deflection. whether or not someone is consistent with their morality is never relevant to questions about 1 action's morality.

BCBS will be my BCBS as long as it still tastes the same. Plenty of other great BA and non-BA stouts out there... but GI BCBS is a fastastic formula/recipe year after year, and IMHO... only get better with age!

AB has better quality control than any craft brewery in the US. I have faith it will remain the same. If not, well, tons of other barrel aged imperial stouts are on the shelf.

I love Brooklyn BCS as well, but it's a very different beer, not really a replacement.
