    It's absolutely fantastic, you should buy a few and let them sit.

    Reasonably priced? BCBS? LoL.

    Oak Aged Yeti, Espresso Yeti, Chocolate Yeti, BA B.O.R.I.S, D.O.R.I.S, BA Rasputin (priced outrageously), Parabola, etc

    I guess I just don't understand this sentiment, do you also stay away from products like Coke, Pepsi, Nike, Fruit of the loom etc...

    Just a guess really. I had the impression that when John Hall decided to sell, it was because he wanted to be able to retire soon, and his son Greg did not want to take over. My guess is that they had to sell to keep the brewery open. I might be wrong about this, just my guess.

    Yeah, I'd say 10-12 bucks for 24 oz of world class barrel aged imperial stout is pretty reasonable. All of your suggestions are comparably priced or more expensive, so it seems like your point is pretty weak, especially given that 4 of the offerings you suggested aren't barrel aged.

    Not a stout but Weyerbacher Insanity. So available and so good. I like it more than Abacus/Sucaba.

    I just had a Dragon's Milk. It's not quite the same of course but easier to get and a very tasty BA stout.

    It's kinda sad how angry people are about an amazing beer being year round.... If Abyss became year round, I would be smiling from ear to ear

    ?????????????

    BCBS normal non bottle shop **** retail price = $21.99 / 4 pack.

    Parabola = $15 / 22oz
    BCBS = $11 / 24oz

    Espresso Yeti = $10 / 22oz ( not even barrel aged )
    BCBS = $11 / 24oz

    Not seeing your "LoL"

    BCBS is my favorite beer on Earth and, oddly enough, one of the cheapest in its style ( BA Stout ). I just spent $108 on 4 BA Speedways. 101oz. $108 would buy me 236oz of BCBS.

    It's even available. My trading buddy messaged me a bit ago "hey there are 15 cases sitting on the floor". 2 months after release. Does this happen with KBS? Any other high demand BA Stout? No. BCBS's combination of price + availability + taste is absolutely UNMATCHED in our passion.

    KBS over BCBS all day.

    BCBS is dirt-cheap, but so is everything else put out by the macros. Cheap swill is still swill.

    All are incredibly delicious, comparable or SLIGHTLY above the price point of bcbs, and very easy to get in season.

    Really! Get off your high horse and maybe you will see bcbcs is the best BA sout barring; price, taste, availability, and made by the masters and originators of barrel aged beers. Bcbs is 15% vs kbs 11% and drinks so as good or better fresh!

    Dumb post.

    Having the opinion that KBS is better is fine, but saying BCBS is "macro beer" and "cheap swill" is idiotic.

    Yes I do. I am not completely "100% big corporation free" (hell, I'm typing on a Macbook right now), but I try to be. I think that in today's society it's damn near impossible to not give any money to the big guys. Nevertheless, I think at least attempting to reduce the amount of money that goes to big businesses is smart for both you and the community in general. I could get into why I believe this is, but that's for another time and website. But to answer your question, yes.

    I love corporations and big business.

    Mom and pop store = employs typically 2 people, high prices

    Big box store = employs 100s, low prices

    Gee, which is better for my town?

    My replacement for BCBS will be more BCBS. It'll be tough as shit to get, but it'll be worth it just to raise a glass to pointless drama.

    Disagree wholeheartedly with the first point, and fart in your general direction on the second point.
