If all styles were the same ABV, what percentage would you want? I chose seven because I usually only drink a few beers, so a couple "boombas" and I'm set.

hypothetically if the government sets a law saying all beer has to be the same abv I think 8% is the sweet spot

but in my world I would like 4% and 8% thankfully we have beer anywhere from 0%-65%+

    this question is tough. I chose 8. but for the beers I drink.... all sessions - 3%, IPAs - 7%, DIPAs - 9%, Porters - 7%, Stouts - 8%, Imperial Stouts - 12%, Barleywines - 11%, Saisons- 7%. Wheat Beers, Lagers and Pilsners can all be 5%.

I prefer all my alcohol at cask strength, that way I can take finely made spirits and really get schmammered when I mix it with coke.

I mean, utopias was a good start, but it just didn't mix well....

I picked 7, but my favorite is 6.5%. I'd rather have a 7 than a 6 I think though. 6.5% is just the sweet spot for me.

8%, that way everything would be 'imperial.'

The lower the better, if I could get a true brew like HT at 4% Abv why not? As long as where not trying to do the session IPA crap.

8% is good for me. However, I like beers that are way lower than 8%(pale ales, gose, sours, etc ) and beers that are higher than 8%( RIS, quads, etc). But 2 or 3 beers that hover around this abv are the most satisfying alcohol wise. I had two beers the other day that were 18-23% and this was too much.

I've always been happy with 5%. There are exceptions, but that still covers a wide gambit of my favorites.

8% to include the bigger stouts and such, but I love me a sticky DIPA at 8% ABV

I voted 5%, it doesn't demand too much of my attention if I knock back a couple and there's plenty of room to pack in quite a bit across a fairly broad spectrum of styles.

To me this depends on the style. I love my fruit infused beers to be low and my stouts to be high.

Assuming it was somehow possible to make the typically-higher-alcohol styles go this low without any negative side-effects on other aspects of the beer, I guess somewhere in the 4.5-to-6% range would probably be the ideal for me. Answered 5% for the sake of the poll.

5%. I tend to drink a lot higher than that, but I do enjoy not having to slow down, because I already drank half my glass of a 10+% beer in like 5 minutes.

I've just noticed that the beers that I really REALLY like are close to if not 6.5%.
