I was wrestling with this question just last week... 'Trouble Brewing' has already been taken. But 'Money Pit' would probably be the most fitting.

    Eagle Eye Brewing Co.
My father called me eagle eyes when I was younger for my ability to spot far off things that no one else could yet see.
Talon IPA would be the flagship beer.

I just started homebrewing and a friend and I agonized over this question for at least a month and a half. We threw around something pertaining to sports legends that felt too cheesy and others of historical significance (considering I'm in Massachusetts), but many of those are already taken.

In the end I went with Bedtime Beer Co. because brewing with a 1-year old is near impossible during normal waking hours so I do everything while he's in bed. My first beer is a Kolsch named Nightlight to stick with the theme and also reference that it's a light brew. This weekend I'm starting on an imperial coffee stout that will be named All-Nighter.

Now, if any graphic design-minded BA's want to chip in with logo and label ideas I'm all for it!

Overly themed brewery names and beer names drive me crazy a bit, just seems like you get yourself stuck in a rut too quickly. Which seems all common with small town breweries.

There is a place here called Mountain Town brewing, and it all train themed. Iron horse, steam engine, cow catcher, snoooooreeeee and then "Hobo's Breath Brown" not even kidding. Horrible.

Keep it simple, short, to the point, EASY to remember. if you are going to have a theme keep it loose. not something that will sound like its just dragging on when you are 5 beers into your lineup.

As a designer I would love to work on a beer project, but at the same time my client would need to be ready for some hard truths from me.

I've recently started calling my home brew "periodic brewing" because, well, I brew pretty periodically.
The other reason though is that I label my caps with a letter or two so I've taken that and made simple easy to modify periodic table-like bottle labels

Would be a two-story farmhouse, with the brewhouse upstairs and the FV's downstairs... it would be called Second Gravity.

Love the idea! Have a porter called Penalty Shot, a saison called Slide Tackle, an imperial red ale or American strong ale called Red Card, etc.
