Dream beer would be nice big mug of beer sitting at a table at Oktoberfest, in Munich of course. Never happen though.

An imperial pilsner. My local brewery recently brewed one that was delicious, but they say it was a one-time-only beer. I need to talk them into putting that one onto their year-round list.

A faithful reproduction of Ballantine's IPA, circa 1966 would be my dream. I've had a few homebrew batches that came close in terms of ABV, and bitterness, but all lacked the real signature of that brew: its incredible hop aroma.

This beer sounds great, did they name it based off one of the best bands to ever exist -Porcupine Tree's 'Fear of Blank Planet'? If so, that is amazing.

I'd go with a 6-6.5% clean, citrus-forward with a grapefruit/piney bitter back end that finishes fairly dry with just a little lingering resin. I'm sure Citra hops would be involved, maybe also Cascade and Mosaic (thought there are quite a few others that can fit, I've found). Actually, if they could work Motueka in somehow, that could be awesome, though that's probably better for a different beer.

Next would be a 8-9% slightly malty-leaning English Barleywine that has been barrel-aged to accentuate the base beer versus overtaking it.

Next would be a crisp bready Pilsner with a grassy bitter/dry ending.

From there... it could go a lot of directions.

I’d brew an 8% hop bomb with Nelson Sauvin and Citra, and dry hop with the latest NZ experimental hops fresh off the vine that the brewer recommended at Garage Project in Wellington, New Zealand. A brewery known for throwing balance out the window, and then kickin’ it back upstairs for a proper taunting! Oooh I can taste it now...:sunglasses:

If my son ever gets stationed to Germany it just might. I also like the St Pauli Girl outfits, quite fetching I think.

After thinking about it for a bit, I'd love a 7.5% London Porter aged in wood with brettanomyces, and sold in 16oz cans for $12 per 4pack.

Other than that I can get most stuff I need these days.

I'd go with a microbrew - no, a nanobrew. Fruity, but not too fruity. Blackberry - no, boysenberry, with hints of chocolate and leather. Not shoe leather, like a belt. And a sick label. Served in a stein. No, chalice. Uh, growler...

Dammit, you all know this is the beer you want.
