Alright, math time! 84 cases sold at brewery (1008 bottles). Lets say 20 cases at the brewpub (complete guess) (240 bottles). They brewed 60 bbls (31 gal per barrel = 1860 gal X 128 oz per gal = 238080 oz / 22 oz per bomber = 10822 bombers. Saying none in kegs, 10822 / 12 bottles per cases = 492 cases (- 104 cases = 388 cases).
Now a quick search shows 1600 liquor stores in Tampa. Say one liquor store in ten is interested in craft beer and gets a single case of MZ. That still is 160 cases (that is 41.2% of the total output). At that rate 2.5 cities the size of Tampa (the third largest city) in Florida can get one case per every tenth liquor store.
These calculations say no MZ kegged and none lost.
Puts into perspective why some stories only received one case. Though I agree it sucks. I am just happy that CCB put greater than 80% into distro when they could have sold 50% of it out of the brewery easy and had much better overhead.

    .
MZ comes in 750 ml bottles, not 22 oz bombers

It went faster than Brewer's brunch, which was significantly more limited I believe. Glad I scooped a few bottles yesterday, I hate going to liquor stores hunting : / Was going to grab a couple more today, but oh well.

I made a visit to the Brewpub and stashed several. Gotta figure there will be bottle limits when it hits retail...

Maybe the BA population is growing up some since I have not seen the usual "They just need to brew more" response on this thread yet.

When I was in Tampa back in March I was able to still find bottles on the shelves at a store in Dunedin.

Why is it flying off the shelves this year when last year's bottles were around for 7 months?

Come to think of it, the last 2yrs I was able to get MZ at the same store in March

My thoughts exactly, my mind is blown. Do we need a MZ day now?

I've been told that the distributor actually trickles out some cases well after the initial release.

Are you guys going to put any more cases out or is there anymore being bottled? Has all of it been bottled and sent to the distro?

I wish i grabbed more. Only grabbed half a case of MZ since i already blew so much money on a case of Brewer's Brunch and good gourd LOL. Can I just do direct deposit right to CCB's account and have them ship me cases every month week? thanks. oh, no shipping... damn.

Walked in my office this morning to find two bottles of MZ. A co-worker went to Tampa last week and luckily stopped by the brewery on the right day for me. :grinning:
