Session IPA? I thought that was going to be called West Coast Table Barleywine.

Right now I'm in the middle of revisiting a hoppy saison (sterling and saaz, WY3711) that turned out wonderfully the first time around. We'll see if I can replicate that success!

No brewing for me this weekend. Just tasted my HBT.com Zombie Dust Clone. My god, the nose on this beer is so amazing (with 9.25 ounces of Citra it better be). It has only been one week since I kegged it and is not fully carbed yet. It is going to take a ton a will power to stay away from this one for another week.

Yes, 1.105. So used to typing 1.0_ _ that I automatically typed it up wrong.

It has to have crystal malt to be considered a West Coast Table Barleywine... don't you remember that "good" IPAs can't have any crystal malt?!

Brewed an Oatmeal Stout today and bottled an IPA. IPA smelled and tasted delicious, centennial+citra combo, super citrusy, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, clementines. Both were my first 2 all grain batches.

Just finished my weekend. But we brewed a strawberry blonde with 10lbs of maserated strawberries going into the secondary! I'm looking forward to this one!

I originally planned to clone a beer I really liked when it came out, Stone 13th anniversary ale. My new brew kettle tricked me, and combined with over-sparging/not boiling long enough, I ended up with 7 gallons of 1.075 wort instead of 5 gallons of 1.090.

Still, 7 oz of Chinook hops went into the boil, with Cascade and Centennial for dry-hopping, so I'm either going to have a bit extra of a good beer, or be really wishing I had gotten around to marking the volumes on that kettle already. I thought about adding DME to get the gravity up to the target, but I should end up with a >7% beer as-is, so I willl probably just see what I end up with.
