I was scrolling on Facebook and saw that Bad Weather in St. Paul has a couple of engines. Their beer is usually pretty solid.

Bad Weather is extremely close to Waldmann Brewery, which is a German-centric brewpub that is housed in a restored/remodeled 1860's saloon. It's a pretty cool spot.

I think Bad Weather is vastly underrated so it's good to see them getting some recommendations here. One of my favorite stops is the Bad Weather/Waldmann combo platter...

If you go to Bad Weather, you have to go Waldmann.

If you go to Waldmann, you have to go Bad Weather.

    You just have to.

There is some damn good lagers being made in MN.

A big change in the last year has been the availability of CBD derived THC (low dose) drinks (non-alcoholic) and edibles at many breweries, and wider distribution in retail liquor stores.

Just finished a 750ml can of Surly Maibock.
Taste: grain, grain and more grain. Slightly sweet but not as sweet as it smells. A flash of floral honey mixed in. Not really all that toasty. Some hay, a noble hop spice, Maybe a hint of pear? Finishes slightly bitter in the after taste.

A good beer, but not a good value at about $21.30 out the door for a 750ml can.

First, l’d like to add that the yoga classes, dogs in taprooms, and PLANTS game is still going strong, and that ties-in with the thread on the main board.
Dual Citizen is crawling distance from me, and they’ve transformed from a “meh” also-ran place to one that I would recommend if you are already in the area for Bang (or UG, BS, or maybe even one of the other local non-beer places of note).

I noticed that you were interested in patios, too, and I would recommend packing some warm clothes. That’s a hoary old cliché about Minnesota doncha know, but some tropes remain consistent across the span of many decades. It was snowing when I left my house this morning…

Last month The Market At Malcolm Yards was hoppin'!!!
Pretty decent beer selection (pay by the oz - pour yourself) and everyone raved about the food options - so many different food kiosks! Great place for a group for sure, or by yourself.

    OH - HELL YES!
For Twin Cities shops/finds, check this thread: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/twin-cities-bottle-can-finds-2023.670780/
Many Total Wine & More shops in the area with lots of great stuff, just check those dates on Bearded Iris and Southern Grist.

My GO TO stop on the way in/out on the border in Hudson, WI is the Historic Casanova liquor store (https://www.casanovaliquor.com/) and the bar attached, Nova (https://www.novabarhudson.com/).
If you need to make a stop in Eau Claire, the Growler Guys and The Coffee Grounds are good stops to get beer to go (hopefully after you stopped at the Brewing Projekt).

The best bottleshops in the Twin Cities are Princeton's Maple Grove (a bit far out in the northwest part of the cities), South Lyndale Liquors and Zipps in Minneapolis, Ale Jail in St Paul, and the best is France 44 in Edina. I was at France 44 recently and they've somehow upped their game.

Here is something odd and different:
Stop at the 3 breweries in Menomonie WI. One problem I see is they all maybe closed when your driving by. But simple and quick time wise. 3 in one almost since there close together. No big city shit here. Hwy 29 for the scene view. (road construction?) World class beer? no but........

    Pizza outside:

Any chance somewhere around Menomonie carries their beers to go that would be open?
