What's up y'all, I go by EXACTLY Instrumentals, I'm an American music producer (and Beer Advocate) from Detroit, MI. This all started from me turning down a pint of Heady Topper from an absolute hoarder of it when I was in Pennsylvania!! Dude probably had over 200 cans of it in his fridge. Ever since then I've regretted my decision and have been searching for some. The reason I turned it down is a long story, and the reason I'm magically into it now also is, but thankfully I have already ran into some great BA's on here, and.... I'm about to complete my first trade a month or so into being on the forum! For exactly what I'm looking for. I'm glad this forum exists. If anybody is also looking for any specific beer that is only made in Michigan, I am sure I can get it for you if it's not too far away and you have a good enough trade. Send a DM if interested, I'll pretty much only trade for what I previously mentioned LOL! Cheers
Welcome. I see you already have the banner indicating that you trade. Just in case you haven’t already found the Trade information and fourums, check out the below links. Good luck, your hunt should be very successful. https://www.beeradvocate.com/trading/ The following is a direct link to the Trade Forums. Scroll to the bottom and have a go at it. https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/ Actually, it looks like you have already been active over there, so the above information should be helpful to others who may stumble upon this post. Cheers, and consider participating in some of the other forums, reviews, and places here on Beer Advocates. You may find them to be interesting and rewarding.
Welcome to formally joining Beer Advocate and your upcoming first trade! Had the pleasure of participating in my first trades (in person) and enjoying my first Heady Topper, and I'm so glad I am a Beer Advocate and have access to so many great people here for conversation and camaraderie. Do you like any breweries in your area? Have you had a chance to try Wax Wings on the western part of the state? So many great beers in Michigan. Hope to see you around on the message boards. Cheers!
I stood in line for an hour at a supermarket 10-15 years so that I could score two cases of Heady, and it was worth it. (Sip of Sunshine was also available that day, so I got a case of it too.) It's a great beer (actually both of them are). Many people compare Heady to Pliney the Elder, so that one needs to be put on your trade list, and preferably soon so that you can compare them side-by-side. From a fellow Michigander, welcome to the BA site. Take the time to explore everything here so that you can discover all of the features. Enjoy what you find.
@SLeffler27, Thanks! I'll be around for sure. Thanks!! I honestly do not frequent many breweries around me but that is changing very soon. I'll have to give Wax Wings a try when I'm out there, I agree there are tons of great beers here! I'll catch you around for sure. I figured you meant 10-15 years ago haha. I'm shipping out my trade today so I'm getting closer and closer to trying some! Definitely adding Pliny to my trade list. Maybe someone will come across this post and want to trade something for it Thank you!!
I keep finding new beers that I like. Maybe it will be the same for you. So many breweries and so many wild ideas about making beer! glad to have you with us.
