It was a Gold at the World Beer Cup in 2012.

They do? Figured they would have sold out quickly. Their Eisbocks are very good.

@Boosully is correct. It was still available when I stopped in last week. Let me know if you wanna put a trade together for some local stuff in your end or if you wanna send me $/label and I can hook you up. I think it's still $30 per (375ml?).

It’s just sad that these guys can’t get out of their own way. 10 years ago you had Founders and Bells of course. But in the next breath it was Shorts, Kuhnhenn. They were a top brewery in the world, and definitely top 5 in the State. Odd Side was still a quirky little brewpub with no distro. There was no Perrin or ROAK or a lot of other upstarts.

Since then, grocery store shelves are regularly stocked with Rochester Mills, Perrin, Shorts, Odd Side. Many MI breweries have capitalized on the craft beer boom and become ubiquitous. Kuhnhenn buys a second facility with a big brew house and bottling line, and has been able to do nothing with it, while other breweries have passed them by. They would’ve been better off just sticking with their original location and maximizing that.

I have never had DRIPA but have always wanted to try it. After reading this thread I looked at the recent reviews and ratings on this site. Based on these, the drop off does not seem to be too severe. Maybe it anchoring but some of them were pretty good with none were horrible.

Last time I had DRIPA was last year at their Winter Solstice Event and they had Blueberry DRIPA - it was excellent. These guys know how to make great beer............when/if they want to. :slight_frown:
