There is a thread in the Beer Talk forum about hoppy lagers that resulted in me checking the Schell web site for Arminius to see if they considered it a year-round beer. I was surprised that Arminius is nowhere to be seen. Has it been retired (so soon???), or is this a mistake on their web-site, or am I just not clicking the right thing to find it?

Wow that was fast! I thought it was decent and liked the fact it was in cans. I still have a 4 pack in my fridge.

It was one of my go-to beers this past summer (think after mowing the lawn on a humid day). I hope they bring it back.

Savor every last, sweet drop! I still have one Burton Ale in the cellar... :grinning:

That's just craptastic. I really enjoyed Arminius as one of my "lawn mower" beverages, along with Hell. May have to add Day Tripper as the replacement.

    No doubt.

Maybe I'll go with Wet Saga ...................................................................

Newb to these boards, so I'm not sure what the Saga story is, but I was gonna ask a question about Saga (heard they changed the hop profile a bit - added Rakau hops), so I did a quick search to confirm no else had asked the same question recently. The results of said search were .......... interesting.

If they had it priced like their other beers I would have bought it all the time. Way too much when I get their other offerings for $12/12pk

Had the 2015 Beer Camp Hoppy Lager this past weekend and I would definitely give that a try if you like the style. Very good! It is a re-do from their collaboration with Ballast Point for the 2014 Beer Camp pack, and I remember at the time that I thought it was one of the better of that bunch!

I thought it was awful. I choked one down and offered the rest to a fellow BA who declined the free beer. I drank the rest when I ran out of everything else. If it's a prime example of the hoppy lager style then I should clearly stay clear of that style.

It's just one beer. Not like the previous 12 mixed set.

This disappoints me. I hope Schell's has plans to make up for this travesty.

I found two more in the cellar along with two bottles of Emerald Rye. Nice!

I enjoyed Arminius over the summer as well, but in the hoppy lager department I think Bauhaus Wonderstuff and the newly-released SN Beer Camp Hoppy Lager are significantly better.
