    Hi Everyone!

I’m a big RR fan, and I’d say that Consecration is, by far, my favorite sour. But I’ve noticed that, as of recent, Consecration has not been on tap nor available in Bottles.

I’m just curious if it’s a more demand than supply thing, have they made it more of a seasonal, or are they getting rid of it. Has anyone heard of any news on it?

    Cheers!

From what I was told at Windsor, it’ll be back on tap and in bottles sometime after the new year. The transition from Santa Rosa to Windsor meant a delay in the production of the sours.

I second this. Best Sour a player can get. That would be like discontinuing Jordan shoes.

Earlier this year did a side by side of 2014, 2016, and 2018. They were all great but it was surprising how much life the 2014 still had.

They had 3L bottles of Consecration on Saturday. Someone at the table I sat next to bought 5 or 6 of them.

Hello BA community, Vinnie here from RRBC. Todd texted me yesterday regarding this thread so I thought I’d chime in. We are still making Consecration. In fact, we are emptying the barrels for the next release in a few weeks. It will than need to be bottle conditioned so the next batch is a few months out.

The lag between releases goes back to a year ago when we were building the new brewery. This is because my old funky beer blending tank became our spent yeast tank at the new Windsor brewey. Once I moved it a year ago, we could not process any more funky beer at the old production brewery. Also, the part of the new brewery building where we make funky beer was a couple months behind the rest of the build out. This caused some delays with all our funky beer production including Consecration. Those delays trickled down to the next batch that I mentioned above. Aside from the Consecration, look for some other new funky beers over the next year as well as a new funky brewery tour (that I will personally give) to be offered soon. Cheers!
