Wow, I am impressed that somebody from my neighboring state to the west can actually use sophomoric and rhetorical in the same sentence. I guess I made the mistake of thinking that everybody that participated in this forum of "beer advocacy" cares about what they are drinking and how it produced. I am not lazy, and I do my research. There are plenty of breweries that find space on either the main label or on the neck to say a little bit about what hops go into the beer in question. Likewise, this information can be found on many breweries web sites. However, there are some breweries that do not print this on their labels and/or do no include this in the description of their beers on their web site. This is the kind of information that I would think all of us, as so called "beer advocates", would like to know. So, basically what I was saying is I'm interested in knowing what is making my beer taste the way it does. A lot of breweries let you know, and others keep it a secret for some reason. If having this interest makes me worthy of ridicule on this forum than so be it.

By the way I apologize to all my fellow "Beer Advocates" from West Virginia, it too easy to stereotype the entire state.

When brewers list the ingredients, especially hops, I can usually expect the general flavor profile of say...an IPA. That said, I advocate listing ingredients as much as I advocate not listing ingredients. It's the brewer's choice.

Aye, it is that. Not from the state personally, so I'll usually let all but the worst of the strereotypes pass without defense

From one Hockeyfan to another, settle down it's all in fun and in the interest of beer, which is fun.
Now on to the original point of your thread,
