I'm about to put my CBS on the market. Just really into sours right now. I'd love to track down a Fou Foune. Is this a one for one trade, or should I be able to get something along with the Fou Foune. Thanks for your help!

I'd say it'd be a pretty fair trade 1:1. I would not say "what is my beer worth".

It's worth about 20 bucks if you have to ask.

I've landed two CBS in my short time on here, one with a CCB cognac Sweet Stout, the other with a Leon. Fwiw.

Great beer but way overrated IMO.....you might be better off just sending it to me:wink:

No harm in trying, but I'd be a bit surprised if CBS could still land FF 1:1. It's a year old at this point, and all those delicious coffee and maple notes aren't going to be what they once were.

It's worth drinking... or trading to me!

The beer is still terrific. Had some a couple months ago, as well as fresh, and like, after it was fresh. It's just been good each time.

CBS is much more delicious with some age on it imo

I'm surprised so many people are saying FF is harder to get. A bunch of people have a bunch of FF and it is released every year in a very orderly fashion. As someone with a FF, I think you are shooting low, but I'm a n00b trader.

how lovely that we can talk about beer using the jargon of real estate.

I honestly think cbs would have a tough time landing a ff. As someone who has owned both. Ff is in a more desirable style, from a more desirable brewery, and is widely considered a benchmark for fruit lambics. Cbs isnt even a good as its first iteration (kbs).

It's worth what you paid for it in other limited/one-off(for now) brews.

I've now had 3 bottles of this and had it on draft many times. Would rather have a KBS or even a regular Breakfast Stout. I don't think any two CBS experiences I've had have been the same. It is a wildly inconsistent beer ranging from good, to WTF is everyone clamoring about. For what it takes to land...there are simply far too many other beers out there to pursue. This is a tryhard ticker's gotta have kinda beer...but for the sake of simply drinking good beer, what you give up for it is likely as good or better.

And I wouldn't trade a Fou Foune for 2 CBS. Just my opinion.

    CBS is outrageously delicious.

Worth a Fou Foune 1:1 ? No way. 2x CBS wouldn't be necessary, but 1x CBS + something along the lines of a Bourbon County Coffee/Bramble would probably be more along the lines of "Fair" to me.

I made that trade about a year ago. Whether 1:1 is now fair depends on your trading partner's perception of the desirability of old CBS.

I look forward to the exceptional irony when he ends up on the bad trader list.

I had five or six CBS. I would kill for the same opportunity with Fou'Foune.

i'm actually really amazed at how many people think that must be a serious account.
