^that's odd, I was down there last year and a lot of people were talking shit about Stone...

it's a saying about how money is money and it shouldn't matter where or who it comes from. In this case from lower tiered distributors vice somebody in a higher tier.

it doesn't matter though, I was out in the North Bay yesterday and got what I wanted and then some.

Yea. This is really becoming a bigger discussion than I care to have about beer. I have everything I need from a family member that lives in SoCal. So...what ELSE is up, Sacramento?

Soooo...Where is Brux in the Sacramento area? lol To be honest, I think Sacramento was skipped, because farther North California, SF Bay Area, and SoCal have it way before we do. Very Odd considering we are only about 70miles from the brewery. Anyways just my 2 cents.

If you're talking to other people on a BA level of beer appreciation, I think you're going to get a skewed notion of what most "craft" beer consumers in an area are thinking. Or maybe they're talking shit, but still buying. Of course, Stone may have a wrong notion about the relation between special release tickers and regular Janes and Joes.

Money is money, but Stone (as with any business) is more concerned with the amount than the color (esp. since it's all green). If some dist.s are not doing as well with the regular Stone stuff, it's no surprise if Stone doesn't give them as much of the special releases. Maybe they're wrong (whatever "wrong" is) for working that way, but it's their ball and that's the way they want to play with it.

If the distributor in your area sucks (or even if it's just that Stone thinks they suck) and that makes it more difficult for you to get some of what you want, I know how it feels to not get what you want, and it sucks. But I'm not sure that any of us can really give Stone good advice on how to run their biz better.

Problem solved! And SHODriver got what he wanted. So there really isn't a problem at all.

It is a good beer. Not as sour as I expected, easy drinking for over 8%. Should change with a little time in the bottle.

Different distros are different. Sac is now #1 for craft beer at Wine Warehouse, which is why we are getting more beer and a better selection from them lately.

Don't forget, they can only pass along as much love as they receive from the brewery.

Solution: Buy more beer locally. Get more beer locally.

Remind me to thank Dan & Steve next time I run into them. Now if we can only get some allocations of the rare Bruery stuff. That would be amazing...

I was the Arden Bevmo today, and they still have about 6-7 cases of Bigfoot there. I was pleasantly surprised.
